Things we love to do in the Byron Bay region

We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world. To have the opportunity to visit to explore pristine rain forest or scuba dive with manta rays, there’s always something incredible to do each day. Some weekends we just want to be pampered and others we seek adventure and it’s all at our finger tips! These are just a few of our favourite things to do:

    • Drink Cocktails at Raes on Wategos whilst watching the sun go down over Mount Chincoghan

    • Spend the day at the spa at Gymea Eco Retreat and Spa with a massage, swim and lunch

    • Learn more about Sacred Geometry and Vedic Maths with world renowned expert, Jain 108 at the 108 Academy
    • Pop to Newrybar for a look around Tigmi Trading, Newrybar Merchants and Luther & Co followed by lunch at Harvest Cafe

    • Take a wander through the town of Bangalow, followed by lunch at Town Cafe
    • Take in a meditation session at Temple Byron
    • Have an incredible intuitive massage by Bangalow's own Sarah Baiada
    • Catch a wave a Wategos Beach, you may even see some dolphins!  From Wategos, you can walk right up to the Byron Bay lighthouse and look for the migrating humpback whales (from June-October)
    • Go horse-riding on the beach at sunrise
    • Kayak with dolphins and whales with Go Sea Kayaks

    • Grab an ice cream from any one of the amazing gelato places in Byron and sit on main beach and watch the dolphins in the waves
    • Go to the weekend markets in Bangalow, Brunswick Heads or Byron Bay.  Here is the full market schedule

    • Go whale watching with Blue Bay Whale Watching
    • Go for a snorkel at Julian Rocks Marine Park
    • Take the dogs for a walk along New Brighton dog beach

    • Visit Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens and gently wander through the lush gardens
    • Grab some organic produce from the Mullumbimby Farmers Markets and make a delicious breakfast
    • Visit The Farm, enjoy lunch at 3 Blue Ducks or buy some yummy pies from The Bread Social and picnic under the macadamia trees
    • Experience the incredible Minyon Falls
    • Explore the Byron Arts and Industrial Park followed by mezze at Kouzina and catch the solar train back into Byron 
    • Walk the Cumbedin Swamp Nature Reserve boardwalk
    • Hire a stand up paddle board and explore the Brunswick River
